The Job & Candidate Profile:

• The incumbent will lead a team of highly experienced and dedicated chemical engineers, engaged in the technical services function of all refinery processes, off-sites, utilities, etc.
• His team will have the primarily responsibility of entire Process Engineering, Process Optimization, Trouble Shooting, Cost Saving, new Project Appraisal  and ongoing audit and advise to respective Plant Managers thru Technical representatives posted in the Plant. 
• He will be an acknowledged Technical Leader and will be a part of the top team to contribute to both bottom and top line of refinery complex.
• He will necessarily be Chemical engineer and would have wide ranging experience in Oil Refining and should have worked as Technical managers in one of the oil majors.  Ideally he would have substantial background in actual operation of the refinery
• He should be fully up-to-date on all the latest technical developments happening in the various refinery processes, including Cat. Cracking, Coking, Alkylation, Hydro-cracking and other related treating processes.
• He should be able to define technical programs for the Reliance Research & Technology Centre (RRTC) and work with scientists / engineers to develop a technology road-map and integration program to optimize plant performance.
• He should be fully conversant with the basic process engineering, design methodology, equipment specifications, catalyst specific and work with RRTC in optimizing Refinery performance.
• He should have a sound knowledge of the process plant operations, monitoring, trouble-shooting and effecting improvements in plant operations through various schemes, modifications, capex proposals, etc.
• He should also be conversant with the technological support required for the off-sites facilities', Captive Power Plant, utilities (including Desalination Plants), Effluent Treatment Plant, Cooling towers, etc.
• He should have adequate knowledge of processing various opportunities crudes, high acid crudes, heavy crudes, difficult crudes, synthetic crudes, etc.
• He should be able to provide technical support to operating units during plant start-ups, shut-downs, test runs, performance evaluation trials, etc.
• He should be able to conduct various debottlenecking / revamp studies of process plants / utilities / off-sites etc. and liaise with EPC contractors for their implementation / execution.
• He should have adequate knowledge of energy conservation techniques, including pinch technology, optimization of fuel and loss, ocean loss, etc.
• He should be familiar with the Refinery Planning and Scheduling Processes, PIMS, and Refinery economics. He should be also aware of software tools like conducting various technical studies.
• He should be familiar with DCS and the various automation tools used in refineries like APC and RTO for Process plants. He should also have working knowledge of the various automation systems for off-sites - for oil movement, crude / product blending, accounting / dispatch, etc.
• He should be able to liaise and coordinate various activities of technical services pertaining to product Quality Control (QC), internal R&D efforts on pilot plants, etc.  He should support all new business initiatives and should be capable of working with RRTC and technology providers for integrating new technologies in the plant.
• It will be an added qualification, if he has working knowledge on petrochemical process plants like CCR, Platformer, Parex, Polypropylene, etc.

Includes planning and leading all Architecture/Design activity with QG partners and Vendors.  This will include systems evaluations, selection, purchase and implementation of corporate applications systems. This position requires coordinating implementation efforts with business users, providing technical leadership across project teams, maintaining up to date system documentation, and prepares various projects progress reports and correspondences. Acts as a backup for the HAS Lead Analyst when required.
      

Change Management Advisor  
The Change Management Advisor is responsible for the integrated change management process in Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) / Hydrocarbon Accounting System (HAS) system delivery and support.   The Change Management Advisor's primary responsibility is to support the change management strategy and its execution by driving the following change processes: communications, training, skills development, knowledge transfer and structural transformation. This position requires coordinating with all relevant parties on identifying and assessing the changes and its impact to Users, Functions and companies.  Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a Science discipline. The scope of responsibility includes execution of administrative authority and the required technical skills in order to provide Project support services to the Program/Project Team. Basic Function and Scope :

     Minimum Requirements :
Bachelors degree in a Technical subject, ideally complemented by a Business Degree, MBA or Qualification in Economics.
12 -15 years' experience in the energy business, with significant preparation in an economic analysis function. Should be familiar with gas and condensate production from Gas Reservoir , LNG manufacturing process, LNG and condensate transportation, and world wide supply and demand for LNG.
