 Regional Sales Manager – Chemicals

• This position will be based in our Houston office.

• Experience in glycols (MEG, TEG, and DEG).  Most experience should be in this area.  Also experience in methanol and benzene.  Volume handled would be approximately 800,000 metric tons.

• Will supervise 2 sales managers one handling Oxygenates & Aromatics, the other handling Glycol (MEG, TEG, and DEG).

• Bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish) .

• Travel – two times per year to Corp HQ and four times a year (once each quarter) to U.S. customers.  During the first year the travel requirements may be more.

• Salary: $118K to $145K  based on experience.

 

 

Sr Refinery Sales Administrator

  • Position Description
  • The incumbent covers the Refinery related Sales Administration activities whose contribution is to provide specialist input and support to the Team which is responsible for optimisation of Refinery processing rate/cut point decisions.  He/she will need a good grasp of refining economics and scheduling, pricing principles for the condensate and finished products (naphtha/kero/gasoil) and understanding of the existing condensate SPAs.  He/she will need to foster good communications between Sales Administration, Business Scheduling and the Laffan Refinery operations team.  A key job requirement is team work and completing job tasks within a functional organization.  Another distinct aspect of the incumbent will be economic performance monitoring, whereby the processing rate decisions will be analysed to establish the efficacy of the processing rate decisions and strive for continuous improvement thereto.  The economic model will be maintained and enhanced by the incumbent.  The incumbent will also provide support as required to the other non-LNG areas, e.g. development and implementation of inter-venture agreements as relate to both the Refinery and the LNG Ventures.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • The incumbent will be expected to exhibit a depth of technical, legal and commercial expertise sufficient to provide an internal point of reference on LR issues. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, as is the ability to provide effective leadership, communicate effectively and transfer expertise to others.  A high degree of numeracy is also required with good analytical skills. Experience implementing and developing hydrocarbon supply contracts is highly desirable.  A degree in Business, Law or Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of refinery economics and scheduling experience with about 10 years of overall oil industry experience is required. Knowledge and experience in refinery feed stocks, products pricing is critical and contracts knowledge is a plus.

  • We are seeking a Data Center Services Supervisor to manage the Services Data Center Services Infrastructure Group. The Supervisor will report to the Manager  of IT Data Center Services. The Data Center Services Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision of CLIENT Oil employees and dedicated supplier personnel that ensure operational reliability for the required IT Data Center services.
  • The Data  Center services portfolio includes: Data Center facility  management, Data Center and Field Office Server Services (e.g. Wintel,  AIX, etc…), Storage Management, Backup and Recovery services, as well as  Instrumentation Tools and Monitoring Services. 1.  Prepare quarterly cash flow forecast for the companies assigned.
2.  Reconcile forecasts to actual bank activity and investigate variances internally as well as externally with banks.
3.  Prepare fund transfers to ensure all company accounts are adequately funded to meet scheduled payments.

CORPORATE PLANNING MANAGER
The Company: 
CORP. established in 1984, pioneered the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry in Qatar. Today, the CORP. is the largest LNG producer in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum (mta) is realising its vision to deliver LNG to its customers around the globe, from its world-class facilities in Qatar.   The CORP. has LNG and Condensate Refineries, Sulfur and Chemical Production JV's with ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell Oil, Company, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, Total, and others.
Basic Function and Scope :  
Directs and consolidates the development of various long and short term corporate business plans for the CORP., ensuring that major corporate objectives are developed and maintained throughout the planning process.  Assists the management team in development of objectives, key performance metrics, and performance reporting. Provides technical and economic analysis to support development of growth opportunities and enhancement of profitability, including the review of technical and commercial aspects of major commercial  agreements.
Tasks and Duties :  
Supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the Planning  Department  Performs Supervisory and administrative functions at the level established by the Management for the position. The specific Managerial and Supervisory responsibilities of all such jobs are detailed in a separate document, included in all job description Manuals.  
• Plans, advises and contributes to the development of long term objectives and strategies for  the CORP, based on analyses of business and economic scenarios and internal capabilities of the CORP.  Works with the management team to develop such strategies.  
• Provides assistance to the Finance Group for the preparation of Annual budgets and five year financial forecasts for the Company.  Ensures the preparation of suitable planning guidelines, procedures, and related corporate planning assumptions; and provides advice personally and through subordinates throughout the planning cycle, to ensure completed plans fulfill Company objectives and planning criteria.  
• Works with senior management team to prepare performance metrics, set performance targets, and reporting requirements.   Prepares Monthly Report on behalf of the Managing Director.  Prepares or directs the preparation of presentation materials and briefing reports for Opcom/Board, including 
• Directs and participates in carrying out technical and economic analysis for a variety of business opportunities including proposed investments, new growth areas, and commercial terms of major agreements (ie.  NGL Handling agreement, NF1 Offtake agreement, NF1 Back-up Gas Supply Agreements, Facilities Sharing Agreements, ....)  
• Directs the development of a Planning and Executive Information system to benefit planning activities, inclusive of determining the appropriate computer software, approving sources and nature of data and controls the overall implementation and updating of the system. Approves the development of various computer models to be used in the planning process. 
Minimum Requirements :  
Bachelors degree in a Technical subject, ideally complemented by a Master's Degree in Business or  Economics. 
• 12 -15 years' experience in the energy business, with significant preparation in an economic analysis function. 
Should be familiar with gas and condensate production from Gas Reservoir , LNG manufacturing process, LNG and condensate transportation, and world wide supply and demand for LNG.  
• Computer literacy, including the use of economic models, spreadsheets and database systems.

Process Safety Consultant - Americas, Houston, TX    

The Process Safety Consultant, based in our Houston (US) office, provides key information to CONSULTING CLIENT consultants and clients on Process Safety Management (PSM), engineering, and management decisions.  Relief System Design (RSD), both personal capabilities and managing other personnel/organizations in projects, is the highest priority need for the current available position. An understanding of how PSM relates and impacts engineering and management decisions through effective organizational structure and work processes is also required. The position requires an experienced individual with 10+ years in refinery operations experience with significant PSM background and capabilities. PSM capabilities may also include:-
• Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
• Incident Investigation
• Management of Change (MOC)
• Risk Assessment 
An understanding of how PSM relates and impacts engineering and management decisions through effective organizational structure and work processes is required. The candidate will be expected to provide guidance to CONSULTING CLIENT consultants, subcontractors, and clients on process safety matters as they relate to facilities operations, design, improvement opportunities, work processes, and organizational structure.
• The candidate will be required to travel 25-50% of the time.
The ability to assess and guide facilities in addressing OSHA PSM requirements is essential. Competency in design and refinery operations is also important, as many CONSULTING CLIENT assignments include client guidance on PSM issues and solutions within the context of a broader scope of work. Other opportunities also exist within CONSULTING CLIENT to do modeling, design, process support, and business development. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills are needed as the projects can involve an integrated project team consisting of clients, CONSULTING CLIENT consultants, and subcontractors.    
Qualifications    
Candidates must have a BS or higher degree in Chemical Engineering. A Professional Engineering License and/or Certification as a PHA Leader would be beneficial.  Want between 10 & 15 year related experience level candidate.
